I am interested in the in “The Ohio Guide Collection” that is titled “Middletown – Main Street.” I am using a computer at the Middletown Public Library, which about a block from where the photograph was taken.
The “Place” on this photograph should be “Middletown (Ohio)” and “Butler County (Ohio),” not Cincinnati (Ohio) and Hamilton County (Ohio).
Also, all of the buildings are identified as they were except for “the tall Art Deco style” building. It was built as and was “The Middletown Savings and Loan Building” when the photograph was taken. Much later Middletown Federal did become part of Fifth Third Bank.
Thanks
Roger
A couple months ago, I accessed “Graves Registration Cards” on Ohio Memory, the beginning of an OHS digitization project. I cannot find it on the site now.
Can you advise?
Thanks,

The link to the Graves Registration on Ohio Memory is http://www.ohiomemory.org/cdm4/index_graves.php?CISOROOT=/graves
It can also be found in the drop down menu on the front page of Ohio Memory. If you have any further problems or questions, please do ask.
We’ve only been able to add metadata for a small portion of the items available on Ohio Memory so far, so not all the records are keyword searchable yet (it’s a huge project, and mostly done by volunteers). I do hope you find the collection useful. Ohio Memory only contains a small portion of the more than 340,000+ records that have been digitized. All of the registration cards are available on microfilm in the OHS Archives/Library. If you need any research assistance, contact the Reference desk at – Phone: (614) 297-2510 or E-mail: reference@ohiohistory.org
Thanks very much….I found it. I am very interested in these cards, as we work on projects for Ohio Civil War Genealogy Journal that deal with all areas of the state. The microfilm at OHS is great, but it’s 100+ miles away for me, so not easy to access.
I know it’s a big and long project, but it will be valuable and very useful.
Thanks
Dan
