Description: Sunday, June 2, 2013
2 p.m.
Hayes Presidential Center, Fremont

Collector and historian Lou Schultz discusses the crucial role played by the 'Ohio Frontier' during the War of 1812. Schultz's personal collection forms the foundation of Hayes Presidential Center's newest exhibit, The War of 1812 on the Ohio Frontier. He has been collecting materials related to the war for nearly 40 years, with a special focus on events that took place in the so-called 'Ohio Frontier' -- areas of Michigan, Ohio and Canada that border Lake Erie. Schultz is a member of Ohio's War of 1812 Bicentennial Committee and is a frequent lecturer on the subject.
