| Description: | Campus Martius, Marietta Sunday, Mar. 10, 2013 2-4 pm Join us as Roger Jerome as Charles Dickens takes us back to 1842 with impersonations of ten people who Dickens encountered on his trip down the full length of Ohio and across the state before entering Canada. Only Dickens could describe his visit to the developing frontier in America and offer amused, critical, irritated and impressed observations of many early American features and habits. Based on "American Notes for General Circulation," by Dickens, the presentation offers unique descriptions of many early American features and habits, highlighted by character impersonations and music that Dickens would have heard. Jerome has performed hundreds of shows as Dickens since 1993. |
